Wise Words: "People change, memories don't." - Unknown
I know what you're all thinking; is she ever going to stop talking about this movie?!
I'm going to be honest with you, probably not.
But this week I am really, really, really excited. Do you wanna know why? Do ya? Do ya? DO YA?
Okay, I’ll tell you why.
Rumours have been circulating around the World Wide Web that The Dark Knight Rises might be getting
an extended director’s cut when the DVD is released!!!!!

According to a recent
rumor that has hit the net, we are going to get a director's cut of The Dark Knight Rises that will include 30 minutes of extra footage! Christopher Nolan’s theatrical cut was already almost three hours long,
but we know that Nolan had more of a story to tell, and chances are it will
make the movie play out a lot smoother.
The report originated
at Nuke The
Fridge who claims...
“Sources have informed Nuke the Fridge that not only
is a Director's Cut being developed by Warner Bros. for The Dark Knight Rises,
but it's going to include Bane's origin plus a bit more screentime
for Ra's Al Ghul (Liam Neeson) which were omitted from the
current theatrical cut of the movie....According to our reliable spies we
will be able to see how Bane learns to fight plus more scenes involving Ra’s Al
Ghul. The new Director's Cut is said to make the film about thirty minutes
longer.”
There's no confirmation
that this rumor is true or not, but if it does happen, it will be the first time Nolan has done a director's cut for his Dark Knight films. It's safe
to assume that there were a few things in the film that had to be cut out for
time. Scenes that maybe Nolan would have included if he could have. If these
are scenes that he felt were important to the story then it would make sense
that he wants to add them into the DVD/Blu-ray.
I think I might die from
happiness,
Emily
